Why do I need custom cabinets?

Custom cabinets give you complete control over the design of your kitchen. From the type of material to the style of door the only limitation is your imagination. Other added benefits of custom cabinets include: no "dead corners", no fillers, and cabinets that fit the room exactly. We use computer design software so you can see what one cabinet or the whole job looks like before construction is started possibly saving you time and money.

We offer two different styles of custom cabinets, Premium line and Contractor line. Our premium line cabinets receive the utmost in finish detail. The cases are all 3/4" plywood making a cabinet that will last for many, many years. We fill all nail holes and remove all cross grain sanding marks leaving the cabinets ready for finish work. Our contractor line is for the person looking to save money and isn't afraid to do a little sanding. The cases are constructed of 3/4" paint grade plywood or MDF (medium density fiberboard) to save you more money. Exposed ends are finished with 1/4" plywood or MDF to match the doors and frames. These cabinets are sanded to 180g and the nail holes are not filled.

Both styles of cabinets offer the same quality of construction:

  • Cases are constructed of 3/4" material

  • Backs are constructed of 1/4" material

  • All shelves are 3/4" material and adjustable (base cabinets have full depth shelves)

  • Toe kicks are removable CDX plywood (to resist water) and covered with 1/4" material to match face

  • Face frames are 3/4" thick solid wood and pocket screwed

  • Doors have a 2 1/2" solid wood frame (panels vary by door style)

  • We use two styles of hinges, fully concealed or semi concealed

  • We also use two types of drawer guides, bottom mount for wood drawers or metal side drawers
